Double-barreled 12-gauge shotgun manufactured by the Ithaca Gun Company, this external hammer model features a pistol grip stock and bears serial number 211333. Factory records confirm that 48 shotguns within the 211325–211372 serial number range were shipped to Wells Fargo in 1911, making this a documented example from that historic order. The left lockplate is engraved “W.F. & Co. Ex,” while the right lockplate bears “Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca, N.Y.” Additional features include checkering at the wrist and forend, a matte rib between the barrels, and a steel butt plate. These express guns were part of Wells Fargo’s commitment to armed security during the late express and early motorized transport era.
