This 12-gauge external hammer shotgun is engraved “W.F. & Co. 458” on the left-hand lockplate and “Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca N.Y.” on the right-hand lockplate. The gun closely aligns with other Ithaca shotguns ordered by Wells Fargo between 1912 and 1915, sharing matching configurations and engravings. This example includes sling swivels, which are uncommon in the group. The forend is finely checkered, while the pistol grip is pebbled, suggesting possible later refinishing.
Size: 41 ¾ inches long overall, with 24-inch barrels.
Provenance: Al and Carol Cali collection, acquired from Tom Martin.

Condition
Exterior metal shows wear, with Ithaca markings faint. Light rust is visible on the trigger guard and barrels. The bores are good, and the action is very tight. The stock and forend are in very good condition overall; checkering on the forend remains sharp.
