A mid-century modern buffet by Danish cabinetmaker Gustav Bertelsen, featuring three upper drawers with sculpted recessed pulls over sliding tambour doors opening to adjustable shelving. Crafted in richly grained teak and raised on tapering legs. Gustav Bertelsen was a respected Danish furniture maker known for producing refined modernist case pieces in the 1950s–60s, often retailed through Den Permanente in Copenhagen, a prestigious cooperative showcasing Denmark’s leading designers and cabinetmakers.
Measurements: 57 x 20 x 37 1/2 in., high.
Provenance: Purchased new by Richard J. Vasquez from Den Permanente, Copenhagen, in 1958. Single-owner Vasquez Living Trust collection.
