A 14k gold and gold quartz presentation cane with octagonal knob handle, deeply hand-engraved with floral scrollwork, geometric panels, and four presentation inscriptions in Gothic script: “S. Ux.,” “Der F.T.V. Semen,” “Ex-Sprecher W.Y. Roun,” and “don’t Feb. 1874.” The top of the handle is set with a large, polished California gold quartz specimen within a tailored octagonal bezel. Mounted on a rich rosewood shaft, the cane exhibits a refined balance and craftsmanship typical of mid-1870s German-American lodge or society presentations, with engraving work suggestive of a San Francisco hand.
