A bronze sculpture of a hedgehog by modernist California sculptor Beniamino Bufano, known for his stylized animal forms and smooth, rounded lines. Cast in rich brown patinated bronze and mounted on a rectangular wood base, this example is signed Bufano and numbered 9/125 on the underside. A classic representation of Bufano’s abstract sculptural language.
Measurements: Overall: 9 x 5 x 5 in. (not including base)
Provenance: Acquired from Cory Galleries, San Francisco, in 1978 by Doris May Dalbene; by inheritance to the present owner.
Pickup & Shipping: Free pickup in Gardnerville, NV. Transfer to the Sacramento Annex facility available for $25. Shipping via USPS or FedEx within the continental U.S. for $95 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined lot shipping available.
