A stylized bronze cat by noted California modernist Beniamino Bufano, cast with simplified geometric lines and a warm golden patina. The sculpture is signed Bufano on the rear flank and is affixed to a black-stained wood plinth. This work reflects Bufano’s signature minimalist approach to animal forms, emphasizing volume and contour over detail.
Measurements: Sculpture: 10 x 5 x 7 ¾ in. (height includes base)
Provenance: Acquired in 1978 by Doris M. Del Bene from Leslie M. Mickles; by descent to the current owner.
Pickup & Shipping: Free pickup in Gardnerville, NV. Transfer to the Sacramento Annex facility available for $25. Shipping via USPS or FedEx within the continental U.S. for $95 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined lot shipping available.
