Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left “A.D.M. Cooper / 1899”. This allegorical composition depicts a golden-haired putto with wings, bow, and quiver of arrows, emerging from soft clouds and surrounded by roses—a symbolic representation of Cupid, the classical figure of love. Cooper, well known for his Western subjects and allegorical nudes, here turns to mythological imagery, highlighting his versatility as an artist.
