Published approximately sixteen months before Clay defeated Sonny Liston to win the heavyweight championship and become Muhammad Ali, the issue documents the future champion at the beginning of one of boxing’s most celebrated careers.

An exceptional condition rarity, this example is the highest-graded copy certified by CGC. Only fifteen Universal copies have been certified, with this being the sole example graded 8.0 and the next highest examples graded 6.5. Combining historic importance with unique census status, it stands as the finest surviving certified example of one of boxing’s most significant magazines.
