A monumental Sterling Silver epergne manufactured by Lale Silverware & Co in Instanbul, Turkey.  Lale Silverware & Co was a 20th-century maker known for extraordinarily elaborate Sterling Silver objects in Baroque/Rococo revival styles.  This piece is an excellent example with mythical cherubs and shells along the footed base and multiple Greek Goddess figures holding up three large bowls.  

The epergne is made up of multiple pieces which screw together.  The footed base with shells and cherubs along with the three platforms which the Greek Goddesses stand upon makes up the first piece.  The three columns of Greek Goddesses in the middle are all separate pieces which screw into the platforms on the base.  The top sections of three bowls are all separate pieces as well which screw into the top of the Greek Goddess columns.  

The overall height of the epergne is 28" tall with a width of 40.5" and 21" deep.  Largest bowl in center has a diameter of 17" and two smaller bowls on sides measure 12.75" in diameter.  Total weight of 974.5 Troy Oz.  Stamped on top of base left center, "LALE 925 Sterling".  The piece has been tested thoroughly with an XRF gun and found to be Sterling Silver throughout with no filler of any type.
