Japanese export silver presentation vase, finely worked in high relief with flowering plum branches and dramatic opposing dragon-form handles. An engraved presentation cartouche dated 11 November 1901 commemorates a silver wedding anniversary. The paired dragons and blossoming plum branches carry traditional associations with protection, prosperity, perseverance, renewal, and longevity—an especially fitting combination for a silver-wedding presentation. The underside bears Japanese export silver marks, and XRF analysis consistently indicates silver purity of approximately .960, exceeding the sterling standard.

Condition
Overall good condition with an even, unpolished patina consistent with age. Light surface wear and minor handling marks. Presentation engraving and decorative details remain well defined.
