A bronze sculpture with dark patina, mounted on a veined marble base, depicting a contemplative cowboy standing with hat in hand. The work is signed “H. Jackson” and dated ’64 in the bronze. Rendered with Jackson’s characteristic faceted modeling and expressive surface, the figure embodies the artist’s enduring exploration of Western identity and the quiet psychological weight carried by working cowboys. The base retains its original presentation plaque. Dimensions: 19 1/2 in. high; 21 in. overall including base. Provenance: Private collection, Winnemucca, Nevada.
