A Danish Modern teak bar cabinet in the style of Svante Skogh (1923–1997), acquired new with the accompanying dining suite during the original owner’s overseas military service. Raised on a slender base with square legs and stretchers, the cabinet features a clean architectural form with two paneled doors above four drawers. The interior is fitted with adjustable shelves and four drawers, providing practical storage for bottles, glassware, linens, or table service.
Swedish designer Svante Skogh was among the leading figures of Scandinavian Modern design during the mid-twentieth century, creating furniture distinguished by clean architectural forms, exceptional craftsmanship, and functional simplicity. This cabinet reflects that same aesthetic through its balanced proportions, matched teak veneers, and restrained detailing. No maker’s label or identifying mark has been located.
