The central image features a patriotic Uncle Sam surrounded by an international cast of characters—each raising a glass in agreement under the slogan “We Never Disagree About the Purity Of Cascade Beer.” The tray’s border is painted olive green and trimmed in gold, with the bold CASCADE BEER name across the top and Union Brewing & Malting Co. S.F. Cal. at the bottom. The Union Brewing & Malting Co., active from the 1870s until the onset of Prohibition, was one of San Francisco’s leading breweries, with Cascade as its flagship label.
