Al and Mae Capone's decorative upright chest from the Jacobean Revival bedroom set. Made of burled walnut veneer in breakfront configuration, the facade heavily decorated with ornate carving in the Jacobean Revival style, the wood with dark sunburst finish. An overhanging top rests over two jewelry drawers at top of two cabinet doors and over three full drawers, all fitted with lathe turned pulls. The decorative uprights carved and resting upon groove-carved bun feet. Bears American Furniture Company, Batesville, Indiana mark (American Furniture Company was established in 1879 and was known for "high grade bedroom furniture". Condition

Scattered scratches and losses/cracks to veneer at upper portion of chest.
