Oil on canvas depicting a Native American encampment along the water’s edge, with several decorated tipis and figures set against a luminous twilight sky. Cooper captures both the atmospheric color of the setting sun and the intimate detail of daily life, reflecting his celebrated role as a painter of Western and Native American subjects.
