An early SG-style Gibson Les Paul Custom, produced in 1961 during the first year of the model’s new solid-body “SG” form. Finished in the sought-after Polaris White, this example features the rare factory nickel hardware—a short-lived specification soon replaced by gold hardware on most Custom models. Serial no. 22362 on back of headstock. Mahogany body with deep beveling, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with block inlays, three original-style humbuckers, vibrato tailpiece, and multi-ply binding. Early SG-style Les Paul Customs from this transitional period are especially prized for their slim necks, exceptional upper-fret access, and historical significance. Dimensions: Overall length approx. 39 in. Case 41 x 15 x 5 in. Provenance: Private Collection, Sacramento, CA. Pickup & Shipping: Free pickup in Sacramento. Shipping via FedEx within the continental U.S. for $175 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined lot shipping available.
