14K multicolored gold hunter case pocket watch retailed by Anna L. Silveira, 62 Jackson St., San Francisco, Cal., with movement by the Elgin National Watch Company, serial no. 10735078, dating to circa 1905. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals and gilt tracery is signed Anna L. Silveira, San Francisco. The heavy 14K gold case, stamped Warranted 14K U.S. Assay and numbered 11260, features a box hinge and is richly engraved with birds and floral motifs in rose, green, and yellow gold, the reverse centered by a star motif set with a round-cut ruby of approximately 0.15 carat. The inner cover bears the inscription John M. Noble, likely the original owner. The movement features 15 jewels and a safety pinion. Anna L. Silveira was an early-20th-century San Francisco jeweler and watch importer who retailed fine American and Swiss watches under her own name.
