Five genuine Mexican 10 Pesos gold coins mounted as pendants on a substantial yellow gold necklace. The coins comprise one 1907, one 1908, and three 1917 issues, each set within decorative gold bezels suspended from a heavy link chain. The clasp is marked 14K, while XRF analysis indicates the chain, bezels, and mounts test between 14K and 18K gold. The five coins have a combined gross weight of approximately 41.665 grams and a combined actual gold weight of 1.2055 troy ounces. The necklace, bezels, and clasp weigh approximately 48.3 grams after deducting the gross weight of the coins. As legal tender gold bullion coinage, this lot is exempt from applicable California sales tax.
