An extremely nice and well-marked Model 1836 flintlock pistol by  R. Johnson, of Middletown, Connecticut, dated 1837. The oistol is all original, and has exceptionally clear cartouches on the stock. The lock functions crisply, and the steel mounts are clean. The stamps on the barrel are, US over TW over P, with the “S” in US being a little faint. Dimensions: 14.25 inches overall, with barrel 8.5 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Condition
Very good, as cleaned, although the stock appears untouched, and is excellent. There is a sliver of wood missing behind the cock.
