A 1971 painting by Harold Schlotzhauer, titled Privileged Vessel. This compact square-format canvas bursts with color and detail—featuring a floating koi-like fish, symbolic markings, and layered abstract forms encircled by a bold blue ring. The reverse is inscribed:
“H. SCHLOTZHAUER / 1971 / ‘PRIVILEGED VESSEL’”
Measurements: Canvas: 24 x 24 in., Frame: 24 ¾ x 24 ¾ in.
Provenance: From the Estate of Patsy Von Ranson, Crockett, California. Patsy studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland during a vibrant period when Harold Schlotzhauer, Roy De Forest, Clayton Bailey, and Robert Arneson were active. She was briefly married to Schlotzhauer and maintained close ties with her artist community throughout her life.
Pickup & Shipping: Free pickup in Gardnerville, NV. Transfer to the Sacramento Annex facility available for $25. Shipping via USPS or FedEx within the continental U.S. for $220 + 1.5% insurance (unless waived in writing). Combined lot shipping available.
Fine original condition with no indication of restoration or conservation under ultraviolet light.
