A scarce group of four circular clear glass canteen-form whiskey bottles featuring vibrant label-under-glass portraits of idealized women, each with vivid color palettes and stylized backgrounds. The reverse of each bottle is embossed “U.S.” with raised lettering, and the lower edge reads “PATENT APPLIED FOR.” The embossed “U.S.” backs mimic government-issued canteens, adding a playful patriotic flair to these otherwise risqué saloon novelties. Likely produced for display in gambling halls or mining town saloons, these decorative bottles combined eye-catching design with tongue-in-cheek Americana. Complete with original metal screw caps and wired hanging loops.
