Group of four United States American Gold Eagle one-ounce bullion coins, all dated 1997. Introduced in 1986 by the United States Mint, the American Gold Eagle is the nation’s official gold bullion coin and is struck from 22-karat gold (.9167 fine), with each coin containing one troy ounce of pure gold alloyed with silver and copper for added durability. The obverse features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ celebrated full-length figure of Liberty, while the reverse bears Miley Busiek’s family of bald eagles design, used through 2021. The coins are individually housed in protective sleeves. As United States coinage, this lot is exempt from applicable California sales tax.
Dimensions: Each: 32.7 mm diameter. Weight: Four (4) troy ounces actual gold weight (AGW); gross weight approximately 135.7 grams.
