An elegant and rare Cartier Paris mini watch ingeniously fitted within a 1903 U.S. $20 Liberty Head gold coin. The coin itself is struck in .900 fine gold (U.S. Mint standard), while the interior Cartier-mounted watch housing is crafted in 18K gold, confirmed by the French assay hallmark located beside the internal case number “4750.” The watch opens on a concealed hinge to reveal a classic Cartier dial signed “CARTIER PARIS.”
The watch movement and back plate could not be accessed; the watch is currently not running, is missing the hour hand, and missing the crystal.
Dimensions: 34 mm diameter; total weight 2.7 grams of 18K Cartier components (coin weight excluded).
