Bronze with mottled brown patina on a polished black granite base, signed Bufano and numbered 15/24 along the rear edge. This compact yet powerful rendering of an elephant exemplifies Bufano’s signature approach—combining monumental simplicity with warmth and humanity. His stylized animal forms, often symbolic of peace and wisdom, remain among his most beloved subjects.
Measurements: 4 x 7 ¼ x 6 in. high; 8 x 5 x 7 in. high including base.
