Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left “A.D.M. Cooper, 1922”. A nocturnal pendant to its preceding companion piece, this allegorical painting portrays a winged female figure clad in flowing drapery, ascending into a starlit sky with arm outstretched toward the heavens. The dramatic contrast of deep blues and illuminated flesh tones captures Cooper’s mastery of light and atmosphere, balancing romance with dreamlike symbolism.
