18K yellow gold presentation clock, the rectangular case engraved “F.A.W. / 1912–1932,” opening to reveal a white dial signed J.E. Caldwell & Co. and stamped Movado Factories on the reverse. The inner presentation plaque reads: Frances Anne Wister / 1912–1932 / A Tribute of Appreciation / for 20 Years of Leadership / from the Women’s Committee / of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Wister (1874–1956) was a noted civic leader and preservationist in Philadelphia, co-founder of the Civic Club and first president of the Women’s Committee of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
