An elaborate 18 karat gold pendant centering a large mabé pearl within an openwork mount set with rows of square-cut sapphires and emeralds with round cut rubies, and tapered baguette diamonds. The asymmetrical pendant displays a dramatic sculptural arrangement characteristic of high-style late twentieth-century jewelry design, with the luminous pearl framed by vividly colored gemstones in radiating geometric patterns. Marked “18K / 750.” Suspended from a cultured pearl (8mm) necklace with 14 karat gold clasp.

 

Dimensions:Pendant 2 x 1.5 in.; pendant weight 31.4 grams. Pearl necklace 34.5 in. long; necklace weight 78 grams.

Light surface wear consistent with age and handling. No obvious losses observed under casual inspection.
