American 1896 Liberty Head $10 Gold Eagle mounted as a pendant in a decorative rope-twist yellow gold bezel and suspended from a matching rope-link yellow gold necklace. The pendant features a genuine United States Mint Liberty Head Eagle designed by Christian Gobrecht, with the obverse depicting Liberty wearing a coronet and the reverse displaying the heraldic eagle with shield. The mounting securely holds the coin without obscuring the principal design elements, and the coin has not been drilled, soldered, or otherwise compromised by its incorporation into the pendant. XRF analysis confirms the necklace and pendant mounting test as approximately 14-karat gold. As United States coinage, this lot is exempt from applicable California sales tax.
Dimensions: Chain approximately 18 in. long. Weight: 36 grams gross.
