Jackman, Pittsburgh, Pa.” Likely the original owner, Edward F. Jackman (1855–1928) was a Pittsburgh gentleman of means active around the turn of the 20th century. A refined example of luxury personal accessories from the Victorian era, reflecting the prosperity of Pittsburgh’s Gilded Age elite and the city’s emergence as a center of American industrial wealth and craftsmanship.
