14K yellow gold Elgin National Watch Co. hunter case pocket watch, movement serial no. 1370324, housed in a richly ornamented A.W.C.Co. (American Watch Case Co.) case, serial no. 34612, with box hinge construction. The case is finely engraved with tri-color gold floral and foliate designs surrounding a monogrammed front and urn motif on the reverse. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Movement signed Elgin Nat’l Watch Co., Patent Pinion. Manufactured circa 1884.
Measurements: Dial 37mm; case 43mm diameter.
