The richly decorated case features a relief elk’s head surrounded by floral motifs on the front cover and an engraved monogram to the reverse, with yellow, rose, and green gold accents enhancing the finely engraved design. The watch is powered by an Elgin Grade 386 movement, serial no. 20306333, manufactured in 1918, with 17 ruby and sapphire jewels, screw-set, hunting configuration, 3/4 plate, double roller, and pendant wind and set. Accompanying the watch is a 14-karat gold watch chain and a gold cigar cutter fob testing approximately 7-karat by XRF analysis. The watch case and chain were confirmed as 14-karat gold by XRF testing.
